Overview

Evian is a company I have always loved. As simple as water bottle companies seem, Evian’s design and brand recognition has played a huge inspiration in my life. Their color palette is the highlight to me, while their strong sense of environment preservation and passion pulled my attention further.
Programs Used:
- Autodesk Maya
- Adobe After Effects
- Clip Studio Paint Pro (conceptualization and visualization)
Project Timeline: 15 weeks
Background
The first time I noticed Evian was when I took a trip to Canada after I finished high school. The packaging was so beautifully designed that I thought this would be my favorite water. Most brands have a very similar blue label, however the scheme of pinks and baby blues gravitated me towards the brand.

Evian water became a symbol of elegance within even everyday items. It brought me to appreciate the designs of seemingly mundane products, and helped to push my core value that everything can be made beautiful.
Journey
Moodboard
Storyboard
The first storyboard was extremely rough and bare-boned. I wanted to give off the big picture idea without thinking too deeply about text and colors.
The second storyboard was more refined and carried better colors and blocking. The reds were simply used to demonstrate water and block in different elements within the animation.
Autodesk Maya Staging
First Blocking

Second Blocking
I began by blocking in the bottle and water motions inside of Maya, however I decided to use a different water asse to emphasize more detail and give the illusion of water splashing.
Final Maya Render
Three cameras were used to stage three motions, the first being the bottle slowly turning, then the water spinning around the bottle, and finally the end pose with the bottle facing forward and water surrounding it.
These three images were placed into after effects where the videos were edited to follow the natural beat of the song choice.
After Effects Polishing

Employing the same font as the Evian brand and replicating its color scheme, I aimed to establish a cohesive visual harmony across all elements in the video. In After Effects, I fine-tuned the speed of each video segment to synchronize with prominent beat points in the song, enhancing the overall rhythm and impact.
Sound Elements
Écoute Chérie by Vendredi sur Mer is a beautiful french song that matches well with the soft and dainty nature of Evian.
